Clara Guillon

Soprano

Born in a musician family, Clara Guillon early developed a taste for music. She started with piano and then turned to singing. She got her D.E.M. lyric singing in June 2016 with utmost approuval at the CRR in Paris in Sophie Hervé’s course. In 2016-2017 she graduated from Lyric Factory under the direction of François de Carpentries and Karine Van Hercke. She is currently perfecting with Cassandre Berthon and Ludovic Tézier. She participated to many master classes, most recently with Stéphanie d’Oustrac.

She won several competitions : the Regional Prize at the International Vivonne Competition, the Young Prize at Bordeaux International Competition in April 2018 and the 1st Women’s Prize for Opera at the International Marmande Competition in August 2018.

She started on stage in Mozart’s roles (SusannaDespinaZerlinaIlia) within companies like Figaro Si Figaro Là and Lyric and Co, but she also performed Miles in The Turn of the Screw, Vagaus in Juditha Triumphans, Frasquita in Carmen, Giannetta in L’elisir d’amore, Blanche in Dialogues des Carmélites, Bubikopf in Der Kaiser von Atlantis in France.

She performs regularly as a soloist in various oratorios such as Mozart’s Requiem, Rossini’s Little Solemn Mass and recently Bach’s St. John Passion directed by Simon Proust.
In 2018-2019 she has perfomed in the world creation of the Mer Noire (Eric Sprogis) interpreting the role of Sophia.

She integrates the Opéra Studio of the Opéra national du Rhin for the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 seasons, where she sang L’amie (Marlène Baleine)  in the new production and world premiere, Oberto (Alcina), Oyouki (Messager’s Madame Chrysanthème).

She also performed Susanna (Les Noces, Variations) on March 2020 conducted by Quentin Hindley in Lille, Rosina / Il barbiere di Siviglia, in Marmande, Giannetta in “L’Elixir d’amour : beau comme un camion ! “ by Chorégies d’Orange.

Productions cancelled during the Covid crisis : Frasquita (Carmen) in Toulon, Sandmann and Taumann (Hansel et Gretel) with the Opéra national du Rhin.

Recently, she has sung: La chauve-souris, la chouette and une pastourelle (L’Enfant et les Sortilèges) with Philharmonique Radio France, Ygraine (Dukas’ Ariane et Barbe-Bleue) in Nancy, Jano (Jenufa) in Rouen, Il Genio and Auralba (Le Amazzoni nell’isole Fortunate by Carlo Pallavicino) with Les Talens Lyriques in Postdam and Pamina (Zauberflöte, in Corsican language) at the Bastia theater.

Among her projects :  Nannetta (Falstaff) at the Opera de Lille, Luxembourg and Caen, the 1st Nymph (Rusalka) at the  Opera  de Nice…
