Eleonore Marguerre’s career is built on firm foundations – vocal and musical prowess and acclaimed professionalism.

Born in Heidelberg, she studied singing in Karlsruhe then Vienna.
She has won several international competitions including the Marcello Viotti Competition (2008), the Competizione dell’Opera (2004), the Leyla Gencer Voice Competition (2006) and Boris Christoff (2009).

Early career roles include Königin der Nacht (Die Zauberflöte ) in Genève, at the Winer Staatsoper, at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, in Hamburg, Dresde, Konstanze (Die Entführung aus dem Serail) in Leipzig, Essen, Dortmund, Antibes, Darmstadt, Braunschweig, Weimar, Gilda (Rigoletto) in Darmstadt, Najade (Ariadne auf Naxos) in concert in Berlin, Melissa (Amadigi / Haendel) in Winterthur, Venus (Ascanio in Alba / Mozart) at La Scala Milan, Melusine by Aribert Reimann in Weimar, Valencienne (Die lustige Witwe) in Nancy, Juliette (Die tote Stadt de Korngold) in Venice, Rosamunde (Rosamunde, by Schweitzer) at the SchwetzingenFestival, the Fairy (Cendrillon / Massenet) in Strasbourg and Wiesbaden…

She then took on lyric soprano roles and performed to acclaim as Dieerste Dame (Die Zauberflöte) at the Opéra de Paris (cond. Ph. Jordan), in Budapest, Amsterdam, London, Berlin (cond.Ivan Fischer), Arminda (La Finta Giardiniera) in Glyndebourne, Fiordiligi (Cosi fan Tutte) in Dortmund, Violetta (La Traviata) in Tours and Dortmund, Nijinskys Tagebuch by Glanert in Bordeaux, Agathe (Der Freischütz) at the Domstufen in Erfurt, Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Marguerite (Faust) in Dortmund, Manon at the Grand Théâtre de Genève, at the Luxembourg Festival and in Dortmund, Ghita (Der Zwerg) in Nancy, Lucio Cinna (Lucio Silla) in Bordeaux, Armida (Rinaldo) in Anvers, Woglinde (Das Rheingold) in Monte Carlo, Poppea (L’Incoronazione di Poppea), Contessa (Le Nozze di Figaro) in Dortmund, the Fox (The Cunning Little Vixen) at la Monnaie in Bruxelles, Arabella in Dortmund, Saffi (Der Zigeunerbaron) in Genève…

She has performed in Lieder recitals in Japan, in Norway, in France, in Switzerland, as well as the Vier letzte Lieder by R. Strauss in Korea, Carmina Burana in Darmstadt, the Brahms Requiem and Elias by Mendelssohnin Switzerland, War Requiem by Britten in Aachen, the Beethoven IX Symphony in Heidelberg.

She has recorded Die Schöne Galathée by Franz von Suppé, Erwin und Elmire by Duchess Anna-Amalia von Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach on DS (Deutsche Schallplatte), Das Lied von der Glocke by Max Bruch, Mozart’s Demofoonte on Arts Music, the Mendelssohn Symphony n°2 (Hänssler).

Forthcoming projects include : Natasha (War and Piece,Prokofiev) in Nuremberg, Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus) in Lausanne. She will also be performing in the world premiere of Frankenstein by Marc Grey at La Monnaie in Bruxellesand will sing Manon in Nuremberg…
