Born in Batumi, Georgia, Sulkhan JAIANI studied singing at the Conservatoire in his home town. He won First Prize in the Lado Ataneli Foundation singing competition.

As a member of the Opera, he sang Raimondo (Lucia di Lammermoor), Sparafucile (Rigoletto), Verdi’s Requiem, Zuniga (Carmen), Angelotti (Tosca).

He then moved to France and studied at the CNIPAL from 2012 to 2014.

In 2014, he won the Jury Prize at the Marmande International Singing Competition.

He sang Mozart’s Requiem in Aix en Provence, Colline (La Bohème) in Gattières, Second Strelitz (Khovanchtchina) in Amsterdam, Rocco (Fidelio) in Rennes, Alvise (La Gioconda) in Batoumi, Le Vieillard Hébreu (Samson et Dalila) in Turin, Fiesco (Simon Boccanegra) in Batoumi, Rossini’s Stabat Mater in Bologna and Pesaro, Samuel (Un Ballo in Maschera) in Nantes and Rennes, Ramfis (Aïda) in Batoumi, Leporello (Don Giovanni) at the Marmande Festival, Nikititch (Boris Godunov) in Toulouse and in Paris – Théâtre des Champs Elysées, Angelotti (Tosca) in Dijon, Verdi’s Requiem in Massy, Zaccaria (Nabucco) in Toulouse, Osmin (Die Entführung aus dem Serail) in Saint-Etienne.

His projects for the 2025/26 season and the following ones: Il Commendatore (Don Giovanni) in Toulouse and Dijon, Monterone (Rigoletto) in Lausanne, Nourabad (Les Pêcheurs de Perles) in Paris – Théâtre des Champs Elysées, Lodovico (Otello) in Nancy.
